Royal Service Travel — Establishment and travel agency at 65 Independence Drive, Shelton, Connecticut.

I was directed to go through this agency to plan a trip to the Hard Rock Resort & Casino in Punta Cana, DR. We were a group of about 50 going there to be present at a wedding. I will never use this agency for my travel needs again.I truly recommend if you are trying do anything that involves the staff to be meticulous and organized you go else where.

The hotel appointed the couple a wedding/travel planner in the states (Virginia DeDad) and a wedding/group planner on the island (Inosca) they were supposed to come together to make the event perfect. Which they did not. I would've much rather had a bunch of monkeys plan my wedding then those 2. Atleast I'll know my wedding is going to be a circus show. They didn't have clearly identified roles between the 2 & the guests blame the bulk of the mayhem on Virginia. I feel that anything that went wrong prior to landing in DR is left in the hands of the Royal Service Travel agency (Virginia DeDad) and it was their responsibilty.

I want to start off & say I would never say this unless it was true because I know what an extremely bad review can do for a business, especially because I regularly check reviews prior to deciding to go with a company or establishment. You choose to hire out certain items in events rather than do them on your own 1 to alleviate the workload & stress & because theres no way 1 person can be great at everything.

Well those wanting a stress/hassle free wedding travel agency because you did the right thing and hired a wedding/travel planner. You will NOT get that from using Virginia DeDad's establishment. She is unorganized, doesnt know how to follow up with guests, sent out invoices with the incorrect amounts, changed the final due dates on invoices with no note/reasoning & when you email her if she does get back you it isn't in a timely manner. The paperwork that was needed for international travel wasnt properly set up. Names were misspelled, dates and times of events were incorrect. If you needed her to get ontop of something you had to get the couple involved so that they could get it done. Which shouldnt be the case because that just stresses them out. I honestly feel she is not fit for the role she currently has and I expressed that to her as well. I started believing that she took on more than she could handle to get a paid vacation out of it.

She tried to plan a large excursion for the group and that didn't work out well because she didn't do her homework on the company she had hired and they promised her things that didnt happen. Food & Alcohol were scarce, it just seemed very choppy.

She also was supposed to schedule our transportation from the airport and to the airport and she did schedule MOST of our transportation from the airport, but the company she used was rude and not customer focused (IslandSun). Our return to the airport was supposed to planned and orchestrated by her as well and it wasn't i had to call them myself the day before and then call them the day of to find out where they were because they were late. All of which I didn't mind but I would have much rather been told that than "Oh we will take care of that for you."

Im hoping that Virginia has learned vital lessons from working with our group because she failed in my eyes and those of the other guests. The mistakes made at this wedding were almost if anything catastrophic, these are memories that cant be changed. Working with her will be the stain on my memory of this trip.

Luckily for the newly weds they had a good group of people who tried to help them enjoy their wedding through all that went wrong.

I came to this wedding to celebrate with this couple and also to scope out if this would be a great place to have my own wedding and if this agency would fit well with my expectations for me and my guests. As i now commence the planning of my own wedding I will be sure that I will NOT have dealings with this agency ever again they should be embarrassed & hire better staff to handle the important logistical items in planning anything.
